An Ado-Ekiti Customary Court, on Thursday, dissolved a 16-year-old marriage between Mr Emmanuel Jegede and his wife, Olubunmi, both clergymen.
The marriage was dissolved on the grounds of threat to life, provocation, stubbornness, lies and adultery.
The petitioner, Mr Emmanuel Jegede, 41, a clergyman, resident at Irewumi quarters, opposite Bawa Estate, Ado-Ekiti, told the court that the respondent was arrogant, lazy, stubborn and unsupportive.
He explained that the respondent, who gave birth to three children for him, was not willing to work to assist him in taking care of the children’s welfare.
Emmanuel said that she was the only one responsible for the family upkeep including the education of the children.
The petitioner, therefore, pleaded with the court to separate them and award the custody of his three children to him for proper care.
The parties have since January, 2016, stopped living together, as the petitioner had remarried a new wife.
The respondent, Mrs Olubunmi Jegede, 39, a prophetess, trader and resident at No 31, Ifesowapo quarters, off Nova road, Ado-Ekiti, denied all the allegations leveled against her.
She alleged that the petitioner was an adulterous man and that in 2008 alone, he committed adultery with five women in their church.

The mother of three children told the court that for two years, the petitioner abandoned her and the children.
She said the petitioner preferred to drink beer to stupor and smoke cigarette instead of taking good care of her and the children.
Olubunmi said she was responsible for the school fees of their second child, Elizabeth, 6, since 2015 to date.
She consented to the decision of the petitioner that the court should dissolve their marriage.
The respondent, however prayed the court to award the custody of her three children to her for proper care.
The president of the court, Mrs Olayinka Akomolede, observed that the marriage had broken down irretrievably and consequently dissolved the marriage.
She awarded the custody of the three children to the respondent for proper care.
Akomolede ruled that the petitioner would be paying N2, 500 as feeding allowance on each of the three children, beginning on or before Nov. 30 through the court registry.
She further ruled that the petitioner would be responsible for the education of the children at all levels.
However, the court granted the petitioner, unrestricted access to his children between the hours of 8a.m. and 6p.m.

PART ONE
The first step to success journey is to have believe. Believe in yourself is the starting point to self-motivation and achieving your desire dreams. without a strong belief in your great abilities, you can't attain the height you wish.
How do you build your believe system?
1. REMOVE FEAR

The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Transforming fear into freedom - how great is that? Fear is what stops us from becoming who we are suppose to be. Fear can stop us from taken that right step to our success. It makes us not have self confident. We have to come to the realization that everyone of us have great assignment on this planet earth. Achieving that unique being in you is to believe in you. Our desire being comes only when we eradicate that fear and take the right step. Eleanor Roosevelt says "You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along".
2. SAY GOODBYE TO DOUBT.
The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today. Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt. The beginning of wisdom is found in doubting; by doubting we come to the question, and by seeking we may come upon the truth. Say goodbye to doubting and see your tomorrow a success. Doubting is the tool the enemy uses to rob us of our future. Doubt can stop us from believing in what we can do. Doubting denies us of the real persons we ought to be. It places us on a table of confusion and bring us to a state of dishonour. We can design our greater height and make destiny a reality if we can say goodbye to doubt. 3. YOU HAVE A POTENTIAL
We'll never know our full potential unless we push ourselves to find it.' Growth never stops. With a life full of possibilities, you have the potential to keep building on your progress and laying the foundation for your best self. Ashley Smith "Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Potential is simply what you can do, but have not yet done. It is the unfold ability and zeal in us. Myles Muroe defined potential as "all you can be but have not yet become, all you can do but have not yet done, how far you can reach but have not yet reached, what you can accomplish but have not yet accomplished. We must understand we are born with great potential to perform unimaginable thing.
God, after creation, made man "in His own image." He made us "in His own image and after His likeness". Now, since we are like God, then we should possess some of His abilities. We have the ability to create things and make them work. Our believe system enable us to have a mental picture of a thing and achieve it. We have everything it takes to mold ourselves to a better person. We should work on ourselves and self-image (self-esteem). God has reasons for bringing us into existence, look deep into yourself and discover that potential. It is the real YOU!
God is with us.
